SATA & eSATA cables

SATA cables are used for connecting a hard drive to laptop or desktop computer. SATA cables transfer only data, so the hard drive requires also a power cable. The power cables are supplied with the power supply of the computer. SATA cables are located inside the computer.

eSATA (external SATA) cables are used outside the computer, often with external hard drives.
